Privacy notice

• You do not need an account to use any calculator.
• The calculators do not ask for an email address or a phone number.
• There is no sign-up step and nothing is hidden behind a form.

• Your home and calculator settings are saved locally in your browser using its localStorage.
• You can clear them at any time using the reset control inside the relevant calculator.
• Clearing your browser data, using private browsing or switching to another device means those saved figures may no longer be available.
• Home by Numbers does not currently operate its own user database, so those figures are not stored on our side.

Not every calculation happens entirely on your device. The solar estimate needs outside help:

• When you request a solar estimate, the postcode you enter is sent to Postcodes.io to obtain approximate coordinates.
• Those coordinates and your solar-system assumptions may then be sent to PVGIS, run by the European Commission, to calculate expected generation.
• Those services receive only what is needed for the calculation. No contact details are sent, because none are collected.

• No analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies are currently installed.
• There is no cookie banner because there are no non-essential cookies or tracking technologies to consent to.
• If analytics, accounts or partner integrations are introduced in future, this notice will be updated before they are switched on.
