Accessibility

A calculator is only useful if you can actually use it. These are the things we build for, and where we are today.

What we build for

Every control can be reached and operated with a keyboard.
Focus indicators stay visible as you move through a page.
Headings, form labels and landmarks are written semantically, so screen readers can follow the structure.
Text and interface colours are chosen for sufficient contrast.
Outcomes are described in words — “saving”, “additional cost”, “no material change” — never by colour alone.
Layouts respond from small phones to large screens without horizontal scrolling.
Pages remain usable when you zoom your browser.

Where we are

Home by Numbers is designed with the WCAG 2.2 AA principles in mind, but it has not yet undergone an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim formal conformance.

If something is hard to use, we want to fix it. Reported accessibility problems are treated as defects, not feature requests. You can tell us at hello@homebynumbers.uk.
